The best thing about Jolt is how quick and easy it is to turn on. Jolt stays in the menu bar and with one click of its icon it becomes active. The icon lights up in one of five familiar colors to let you know that its currently working.

The full version of Jolt lets you create up to five durations ranging from 3 minutes to forever. You also can assign different icon colors to tell each apart. Simply command (⌘) click on the icon to access the Jolt menu and change your preferences.

In deciding how to release Jolt, it occurred to me that it was an opportunity to contribute to some organizations that care for people and our environment. Therefore I've decided to donate half of all payments to the organizations below. Not only do you get a useful mac app, you are also making the world a better place. :)

1. •International Justice Mission
       exists to protect people from violent forms of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and accountability for perpetrators, ensuring that public justice systems work for the poor.
   
   

2. •Conservation International
       conserve Earth's living heritage, our global biodiversity, and demonstrate that human societies are able to live harmoniously with nature.
   
   

3. •Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition
       engaged in research, advocacy and grassroots organizing to promote human health and environmental justice in response to the rapid growth of the high-tech industry.
   
   

4. •North Cascades Institute
       conserve and restore Northwest environments through education.
